If you weren’t able to make it to last weekend’s Parade of Homes, you’ve got one more shot. With more than 40 homes on the tour, you’ve had a week to see which ones you’d really like to visit. In case you missed it, here’s our take on what you should think about when you visit each home.
And remember, visiting these homes is a great time to kick the tires, check the details, ask questions and get a feel of how each builder/architect builds a home.
So, What’s Next?
You’ve landed on two different builders and you’re ready to set your dream home in motion. The next steps are to set up interviews and really get a feel for their process, demeanor, personality, competence, etc. Also, do your research. Do they pay their subs on time? Are they respected in the local industry?
It’s just like anything else. And when you’re spending a considerable amount of money on your dream home, this is not the time to get starry-eyed. You need to be focused and ask all the tough questions.
