1. What is it that draws people to WNC?
Cooler summer weather, slower pace of life, chance to reconnect with nature
2. Tell us about the people that live in Lonesome Valley.
The folks who have made LV their home are incredibly down-to-earth and share a strong sense of community. Overall, our residents are extremely active and enjoy any excuse to get together and enjoy each others company.
3. What are the benefits of living in a box canyon?
The box canyon that makes up Lonesome Valley partially consists of 2 large, awe inspiring rock face; Cow Rock and Laurel Knob. Having these towering rock faces makes for an incredible backdrop from a view behind Canyon Kitchen, a homes back porch, or along a hike.
4. Talk to us about the building process at Lonesome Valley.
With many of our owners coming from other states, the local architects and builders are here to make the build process as easy as possible from afar. While we don't require the use of any specific architect or builder, we can certainly assist in making recommendations. The typical timeframe to build a custom home can take from 12-14 months. Lonesome Valley also has a number of pre-designed home plans that can help speed the process even further.
5. How did the community potluck dinners come to be?
As I mentioned before, our residents enjoy any opportunity to gather. The ability to showcase their culinary talents always makes for a fun, delicious event.
