First there was beer, now there’s food. You could argue there’s always been amazing food in the Asheville area. Now, it’s happening all over. WNC Magazine recently did a spread on some of the area’s latest dining spots. Come along!

The latest from James Beard-nominated Chef Jacob Sessoms of Table, Cultura opens up adjacent to Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on Asheville’s South Slope in May. With a menu of what Sessoms calls “new agrarian cuisine,” expect elevated farm-to-table fare alongside a drink menu of sour beers, artisanal and natural wines, and craft cocktails. The Funkatorium will also launch a revamped new menu including Roman-style pizzas. There will also be a new space for private and catered events, plus a coffee bar led by Mountain Air Roasting’s Marshall Hance.
